1. CoolSculpting® is not for everyone
Although the benefits of CoolSculpting are appealing for a wide range of people, and for the majority it is a great fit, it’s not right for everyone. You will be evaluated before your treatment to ensure it is appropriate for you. But, to give you a guideline; if you have been diagnosed with obesity (or feel you should seek medical attention for obesity), CoolSculpting is not for you. However, if you are simply looking to deal with pockets of unwanted fat and looking for a targeted solution, CoolSculpting may be an option for you.

We do not recommend the treatment during pregnancy. It is always best to consult your medical practitioner before having a CoolSculpting session.

2. It is non-invasive
CoolSculpting is an entirely non-invasive procedure, that is able to focus on small areas of the body and eliminate fat cells. Because of this, the results are noticeable, and lasting. CoolSculpting can assist in contouring the treated areas and kill off the targeted fat cells, and the results can be maintained with a healthy lifestyle.

3. There is minimal discomfort during and after treatment
Although the procedure can look pretty intense, it’s actually a well-tolerated treatment. You can expect to still feel something happening and an initial feeling of intense cold, but this subsides within 5-10 minutes as the area numbs. Treated areas may be a little tender in the few days afterward, but nothing that will stop you from physical activity. If you do experience pain, it’s important to let your medical professional know immediately and seek medical attention if there is any pain after the treatment.

4. There are noticeable changes to your shape
You may start to see changes as quickly as six weeks after your treatment, and the full result should be seen after three months. Your body will still continue to eliminate the targeted fat cells for up to four to six months after treatment.

5. It isn’t a treatment for sagging skin
While CoolSculpting does an incredible job of contouring the body, it isn’t designed to target loose skin.

6. The idea of CoolSculpting® was inspired by eating ice blocks
Apparently, the beginning of the CoolSculpting journey happened when years ago, scientists observed that some infants who ate ice blocks got dimples in their cheeks. This led scientists to realise the possibility that cooling can selectively damage small pockets of fat cells. This sparked the notion that it was possible to freeze fat cells without damaging tissue. Et voila! CoolSculpting concept was born.
